CT - Hyvää Joulua/Merry Christmas

Tiistaina 17.12.2013 oli pajapäivä, jolloin kaikki koulut oppilaat tekivät joulukortteja kierrätysmateriaaleista ja miettivät, millaisen aineettoman lahjan he voisivat antaa tänä jouluna.

On Tuesday 17 December 2013 all pupils made Christmas cards of recycled materials in workshops. They found many ways of giving immaterial gifts this Christmas.

CT - Lumigraffiteja/Snow graffiti

Viime talvena 4.-luokkalaiset tekivät lumigraffiteja. Videon kuvasi ja koosti heidän luokanopettajansa Jarmo Rautio.

Last winter fourth graders made snow graffiti. The video is shot and edited by their class teacher Jarmo Rautio.

CT - eTwinning laatumerkki/eTwinning Quality Label

16. lokakuuta 2013 koulullemme myönnettiin kansallinen eTwinning laatumerkki Comenius-hankkeestamme, City twinning Project. 28. lokakuuta 2013 hankkeellemme myönnettiin vielä Euroopan laatumerkki. Laatumerkki on konkreettinen tunnustus opettajille ja kouluille korkeatasoisesta eTwinning-toiminnasta. Oppilaita se kannustaa työssä ja kouluille se antaa julkisen tunnustuksen sitoutumisesta laatuun ja avoimuuteen eurooppalaisessa yhteistyössä.

On 16th October 2013 our school was awarded The National eTwinning Quality Label for City twinning Project. On 28th October the project was awarded The European Quality Label. The Quality Label is concrete recognition to teachers and schools of the high level of their eTwinning activities. For pupils, this offers a boost to their work efforts, and for the school in general, a public affirmation of their commitment to quality and openness in European collaborative work.

6.-luokkalaiset oppaat/The sixth graders were school guides

17 Comenius koordinaattoria ja opettajaa vieraili koulussamme torstaista lauantaihin 26.-28. syyskuuta 2013. Torstaina järjestimme tervetulojuhlan salissa, jonka jälkeen 6.-luokkalaiset toimivat oppaina ja esittelivät kouluamme englanniksi. Sen jälkeen vieraat seurasivat luokissa Green Day -työpajoja. Perjantaina Comenius-vieraat olivat 5.-luokkalaisten kanssa tutustumassa Harakan saaren luontokeskukseen, ja illalla he vierailivat Suomenlinnassa. Lauantaina koko koulu teki retken Nuuksion kansallispuistoon.

17 Comenius coordinators and teachers visited our school from Thursday to Saturday on 26-28 September 2013. On Thursday we had a welcoming party at the school hall. Then the sixth graders guided the guests around school, and they visited classes where we had Green Day workshops. On Friday, the Comenius group visited the Harakka Island with the fifth graders, and in the evening the guests and teachers visited Suomenlinna Maritime Fortress. On Saturday, the whole school made an excursion to Nuuksio National Park.

UNICEF-kävely ja huutokauppa/UNICEF Walk and an auction

Lauantaina 27.4.2013 oppilaat kävelevät Katajanokan ympäri ja keräävät näin rahaa Unicefille. Iltapäivällä klo 12-15.30 vanhempainyhditys järjestää kirpputorin ja huutokaupan, jossa myydään oppilaiden maalaamia satamatyömaa-aidan tauluja.

On Saturday 27 April 2013, pupils walk and raise money for Unicef. In the afternoon, the parents' association organize a flee market and an auction of pupils' paintings that were on a fence of a construction site in the harbour.

CT - Kirjeitä Lontooseen/Letters to London

3.-luokkalaiset ja valmistava luokka saivat tervehdyksiä Crownfield Junior Schoolista Lontoosta ja kirjoittivat kirjeitä Lontooseen.

Class 3 and Preparatory Class got greetings from Crownfield Junior School in London and wrote letters to London.
